The Rapture's contact points {the area in the tip and tail where the base rises off the snow) are located in the same places as all the boards when unweighted. But add a rider's weight and S-poontech contact points move several inches in toward your feet.

The secret lies in Atomic's patented progressive radius tip and tail. With less base contact and friction, you get a faster glide. It also makes the contact points less likely to catch, so you won't have to detune the board as much. When you roll up on edge, you'll get the full force of your entire effective edge. It rocks.

SPROCKET POWER BOOSTERS (SPB'S)
Goal: Supercharge the tail for maximum rebound and sprocket.
First Atomic nestled dual titanium blades between the Rapture's core and topsheet. The blades run from the rear inserts to the tail. Then they wrapped each blade in an elastomer sheath so it can travel freely under pressure. The SPB's can be loaded up like a three-meter diving board for huge ollies and powerful exits. It's like 33% more sprocket from your pocket so you can be rockin' like Dokken.
